Orhangazi Wharf | The Best of Bursa

Don’t miss a stop on our four-part day adventuring through Orhangazi!

Next on our adventure was a trip to the Orhangazi Iznik Lake. Our first views of the area were breath-taking. Fall colors from trees draped over the road as we approached. Just before reaching the water, a thick line of evergreens hold picnic tables and playgrounds perfect for a family day out. A neatly paved walking path extends as far as the eye can see with separate lanes for pedestrians and cyclists. On the beach, at the time of our visit, the tide was out, revealing a clay-mud waterfront. Our favorite part, however, was the wharf. Stretching far out into the shallow waters, it offers gorgeous views with benches for sitting and enjoying the surroundings. We made some new friends while there and joined them in their fishing efforts. A perfect place to spend some hours, especially for families with children of all ages.
