For a while, I had looked for an opportunity to get onto the top floors of one of the tall buildings around Fomara Square near Şehreküstü metro station. “The view from those buildings must be fantastic,” I thought to myself as I imagined the panorama of the old city sprawled out across the foothills under the shadow of Uludağ. One day while looking up at those tall buildings with that idea in mind, I noticed the sign for Mavi Yel Café and I knew I needed to get up there as soon as possible.
Located on the 13th floor of Tuğsa Īş Merkezi, just outside the northeast exit of Şehreküstü station, Mavi Yel (“Blue Wind”) Café offers a full lunch and dinner menu, a comfortable atmosphere, and live music on the weekends. It’s a nice place for everything from a cup of tea with your friends to a plate of köfte with your family.
But the view from Mavi Yel Café is what is truly outstanding. Mavi Yel’s rooftop terrace provides excellent, unobstructed views of the city and the mountain. In fact, I would venture to say that Mavi Yel offers one of the best panoramas of Bursa that I’ve seen yet. Especially around sunset.
So, when you’re in Bursa and you’re looking for a café with a view, let me suggest Mavi Yel. And to prove my point, here are a few photos from our most recent visit…
