Our discovery of Deliktaş (Deh-leek-tash) cave was quite accidental. If it hadn’t been for a sign post, we would have missed it all together! Though we don’t consider ourselves big spelunkers, this was an adventure we’re glad we didn’t miss.

The cave is located just outside of Uçpınar village, near some hiking and picnic grounds and is an amazing place to visit for those prepared to do some careful exploration. The Bursa Cave Exploration Society mapped this cave in 2019 and has additional photographs on their website here (Turkish content).

If you plan to visit, a good pair of shoes and a camera are a must!
