Our family has recently taken up tent camping. It seems that thanks to the existence of COVID-19, we are not the only ones, as many stores are now featuring more and more outdoor equipment for grilling, fishing, and camping.

Turkey overall seems to be slow in creating camping facilities, as in protected areas with bathrooms and running water, but there are some. For those that are ready to “rough it”, there are many places to try! One great option in Bursa is Karagöz Mesire Alanı in Orhaneli.

This beautifully wooded area is perfect for overnight camping or day-picnicking. With toilet facilities, running water fountains, picnic tables, and children’s play places sprinkled throughout, you can easily find a spot to fit your personal preferences.

A newly opened feature of the park is their guided river rafting! While we haven’t personally tried it yet, it certainly looks like a worthwhile adventure!
