Don’t miss a stop on our four-part day adventuring through Orhangazi!
With stomachs growling after fishing for so long, we headed into the city center to find some lunch. The city was bustling, but we managed to find parking along the street in the main courtyard. We were pleasantly surprised to see wide and stroller-friendly sidewalks lining the main road. It was easy to wander the center of town and window shop with our kids in tow. There were many options available for delicious looking and smelling food, but we settled on a prominent-looking restaurant called Sezgin Izgara. Their upstairs seating area was nicely spaced out to respect social distancing needs and their staff was careful and accommodating. And the food, as we’ve come to love and appreciate in this country, was quality and delicious, complete with fresh baked bread and meze (appetizers). Find them on Facebook or Instagram (@sezginizgara). (COVID Note: Due to current Turkish regulations, all dining-in options have been restricted. Contact any restaurant directly to learn about their delivery options.)
After lunch, we walked the city and were pleased to discover a pedestrian-only walking track and park at the center’s edge. It was clean and well manicured and a relaxing place to walk and people-watch.
Amazing
