THE BEST OF BURSA: HIGHLIGHTING THE BEST OF BURSA, TURKEY

The Bursa municipality recently released a new mobile application called “GO Bursa”. It’s a great tool to download and have quick reference to the city’s main attractions. The app uses high quality photos and video clips to give you a clear sense of the location.

One of the neat features of the application is the ability to browse based on interest or category. Categories include:

  • Historical Mosques and Mausoleums,
  • Museums,
  • UNESCO World Heritage Sites,
  • Historical Fortresses and Bridges,
  • Adventure Sports,
  • Parks,
  • Bursa’s Gastronomy,
  • and more!

Click on the Activity tab and you’ll find current and upcoming events from outdoor sports festivals and concerts, to book fairs and furniture trade shows.

It’s evident that the municipality had a great team working on this app. Overall, we’ve enjoyed it and recommend it for tourists and residents alike. For English-speakers, the translations could use improvement and the app isn’t always consistent about which language it displays, but for the most part you can browse with little confusion.

Plan your visit to Bursa and download the app today!
