THE BEST OF BURSA: HIGHLIGHTING THE BEST OF BURSA, TURKEY

Growing up, my mom always said, “Chocolate makes everything a little better.” My Chocolate Bursa, our city’s first museum dedicated to the art of handmade Belgian chocolates, certainly takes that idea to heart!

The museum officially opened July 9th, complete with the spectacular fanfair and floral abundance of new businesses in this culture. Tables indoors and outdoors offered guests tastes of the variety of delicacies served by the attached restaurant and the chocolate factory as well.

The museum itself is Bursa-centered, artful and smells delicious. Upon entering the well air-conditioned corridor, you are greeted by the rich decadent smell of cocoa. As you walk from one exhibit to the next, you are guided by the replica city walls, paved from floor to ceiling with chocolate. The highlights of our amazing city, made from 12 tons of chocolate, are molded and melded together piece by piece in mixtures of white, milk, and dark chocolates. There is even a chocolate milk waterfall.

On a hot summer day, a visit to this museum is the perfect experience. Top it off with a glass of cold lemonade at the restaurant and a browse through the extensive selections of honeys, jams, coffees, and colognes.
